Design & Style

The Smok Novo bar comes in that unmistakable Novo design and shape.

They have exactly the same duck-billed shape mouthpiece as all Novo pod devices. I’ve never been the biggest fan of this style of mouthpiece as it’s a little wide and chunky for an MTL draw, but you get used to it. It does the job it’s set out to do and keeps the device looking compact, uniform, and like a bar.

The mouthpiece also has a glossy plastic finish. At the same time, the body of each disposable is glossy plastic on the edges. However, the front and back have a matte hexagon pattern across them. This thankfully prevents them from being too slippy in the hand.

Smok has done a good job keeping the Novo bars small, compact and lightweight. Each bar contains 2ml of juice and a 600mAh battery, which is good for such a small disposable.

Smok has also done a nice job with the colors and branding of each disposable. They have kept the branding to a minimum with the ‘Novo Bar’ and flavor vertical written on one side and a small ‘Smok’ logo on the reverse.

The colors are vibrant and easily help distinguish the flavor in each disposable.

As with all disposable vapes, the base of the Novo Bar is where you will find the airflow hole. This is also where the LED power light is located. It’s quite a dim subtle light, which is good if you are vaping in a dark room, but you can barely notice it when out in daylight unless you hold your hand up to it.

Overall the Smok Novo disposable bars are exactly what you’d expect a disposable Novo to be from a design perspective. Let’s see how good they are at delivering a satisfying vape.
